Initial Survey

Fencing Chelmsford can replace old gates or install new bespoke gates in a wide variety of styles, finishes and with distinct, long-lasting gate furniture offering a complete service. We will begin with an assessment before having the gates manufactured off site.

Clearance

If the works are replacement of an exisitng wooden gate we'll begin with the removal of the old gate and any frame that needs replacing due to rot or degradation in the posts.

Post alignment

Next we'll install the gate posts or realign any posts that have moved in an existing replacement.

Installation

If the gate is to be hung to concrete posts this will involve the bolting timber to the sides of the posts to allow for screws to be attached on both the side where the hinges are and the other side to receive any latch or locking mechanism has. Once the gate is in place slammer rails will be fitted to the posts to create a screen that provides privacy either side of the gate where the expansion gaps are and also stops the gate swinging in the wind and takes the pressure of the gate being brought to a stop the gate off the hinges and latch mechanism.
